Verner Panton Verpan UFO chandelier, white, red,Chrome, Denmark, 1975, 2015. Originally designed in 1975, Panton’s iconic UFO chandelier was produced in a few different versions but in very small series. The ingenious design is comprised of variously sized, ring-shaped tubes hung from metal chains, forming a complex spatial structure that seems to glow from within. The tubes hide the light source and at the same time serve as reflectors. On the occasion of the UFO’s 40th anniversary (2015), VerPan produced a limited edition of 100 UFO chandeliers. 75 of these featured a white ceiling canopy. The original chrome canopy design was limited to only 25. This is one of those 25 chandeliers. Gorgeous, timeless ‘space-age’ modern, made in Denmark, labeled.
