Otto Binx specializes in fine art and design of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, with a strong focus on modern and post-modern works as well as an unwavering devotion to eclecticism, openness and fresh ideas. Along with our ever-evolving inventory of furniture, home furnishings and fine art, we provide design consultation as well as sourcing services for a global clientele from our home base in New York City’s creative heart — Red Hook, Brooklyn. Prior to forming Otto Binx Ltd, Otto spent more than a decade in academia, specializing in post-WWII American cultural production, as well as 19th-century European and American art and architecture, the social and aesthetic histories of photography, Northern Renaissance and Baroque art, as well as post-modern theory and design. Otto has taught a variety of courses, from undergraduate lectures to graduate seminars and has the pleasure of working with thousands of students in the New York metropolitan area.
